Macon & Lesquoy
From the National School of Industrial Creation workshops of Paris, Marie and Anne-Laure worked side by side for years before the desire for freedom and creation for themselves became stronger than all. In 2009 they began their embroidered stories...
Who are you?
Marie and Anne-Laure.
How did you start in fashion?
Fed up with large objects of industrial design, we want to create small luxuries wearable in everyday life. The fashion accessory was self-evident, for the rest, we don't feel connected to the world of fashion.
How would you define your style?
Playful, whimsical, somewhat surrealistic, accurate, chic ...
What inspires you?
Everything !!!! We always start by a comprehensive study of a technique. Manufacturers and their environment are the starting point of our creations. We have a real industrial creative process, and stylist in a second time.
A few words about this collection...
It follows a California travel. Light, vast landscapes, mind ... It was not easy to translate these sensations into accessories but I think we managed it!
What's your favorite piece in our selection?
The bloody knife.
What are you most proud of?
Having highlighted wonderful embroidery techniques, stuck in a military world, that speak to both men and women.
Where do you manufacture your products?
Where we find the best manufacturers and craftsmen: Portugal for machine embroidery, Pakistan for hand embroidery, leather goods in France.
Where can we find your collection?
In a broad network of small shops that are loyal to us, anywhere in the world. We also work with major retailers.
If your brand was a music, a movie, a cocktail...
"The Darjeeling Limited" Wes Anderson.
